Is this retreat right for you?
This retreat is intended for people that want to make a career change into an entirely new career and/or take their existing career to the next level. If your work is feeling stagnant and you know it’s time for a change, this retreat will help you find a new direction and rejuvenate your career. In addition to guiding you through our career coaching process, we will draw on the perspective and soulfulness of Bali, incorporating cultural activities, nature walks, and little adventures throughout the week.

Retreat Format
Our intention is to create a small and close knit group that will share this journey together. There will be two workshop segments per day, one in the morning from 10am-1pm and one in the afternoon from 3pm – 6pm. We will have fun group activities planned throughout the week during some lunch breaks and evenings. Your participation in the workshop also includes a coaching session in January of 2012 to provide accountability for the changes you will be making following the retreat.

Logistics
The weeklong retreat will take place in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia from Sunday December 11th – Friday December 16th 2011. The retreat will be limited to the first 12 people that sign up to make sure that the group is small, well connected, and that you receive lots of personal attention. Accommodation will be included for those of you that want to stay in the same place as other people participating in our retreat.

We’ve seen our methodology help hundreds of people find a career path that fits and love their work. The essence of our approach is to help our clients discover their authentic self and translate their uniqueness into a concrete direction in their career. We believe that everyone has A Path That Fits who they are and what they want – and that finding your path and living it enables you to maximize your contribution to the world.

Let the following outline serve as a likely agenda for our retreat. While it may not be followed exactly as outlined below, it will be closely adhered to.

All of the exercises and activities that we will guide you through can be applied to finding an entirely new career path or evolving your existing career path in a more fulfilling direction.

DAY 1 - Sunday, December 11th 2011
All Day

• This opening day is all about experiencing Bali’s soulfulness and beauty and bringing that alive in each of us and the group as a whole. We will venture off the beaten path to explore breathtaking landscapes, small villages, and hidden beaches. It will be a day to settle in, expand, and connect.

DAY 2 - Monday, December 12th 2011
Morning

• The “big picture” of your life and career path:
• Reflecting on your path up to this point.
• Exploring the beliefs that you hold about what a career should be.
• Creating a new career mindset/philosophy that will bring new aliveness and possibilities to your work.

Afternoon

• Discovering your strengths.
• Identifying the career paths that would best utilize your strengths.
• Exploring ways to evolve your current career to fully express your strengths and gifts

Evening

• Sharing stories, poems, and other inspirations.

DAY 3 - Tuesday, December 13th 2011
Sunrise

• Sunrise walk through the rice fields.

Morning

• Discovering your passions and the career paths that would bring your passions alive.
• Identifying ways to reinvigorate your existing career by aligning it with your passions.

Afternoon

• Discovering your values and the career paths that would enable you to fulfill your values.
• Identifying the changes you want to make to align your existing career with your values for greater fulfillment.

DAY 4 - Wednesday, December 14th 2011
Morning

• Discovering your personality type and taking career assessments that reveal the careers that best fit your strengths, interests, and personality type.
• Learning how to redesign your current path to better fit your personality type so that work feels more natural to you.

Afternoon

• Identifying the careers that best fit you so that you can begin to explore and research those careers to learn more about what they are really like.
• Identifying “the next level” or future path in your existing career that is taking shape based on your strengths, passions, values and personality type.
• Processing the inevitable doubts, fears, and limiting beliefs that get in the way of moving forward on your path.

Evening

• Traditional Balinese dance performance.

DAY 5 - Thursday, December 15th 2011
Morning

• Envisioning your Future Self (the person that you are growing into) through a powerful guided visualization helps illuminate who you are at your full potential.

Afternoon

• Discovering your purpose and how to bring it alive in your work.

Evening

• Group time in nature for reflection.

DAY 6 - Friday, December 16th 2011
Morning

• Assessing all of the careers that have been discovered and explored up to this point and choosing the career path that best fits you.
• Creating a transition plan to move forward on your new career path.
• Creating a transition plan to take your career to the next level.

Afternoon

• Closing activities including: sharing your new sense of self, what you will be creating in the next phase of your career, and committing to your career transition plan.

Evening

• Group dinner, dancing, celebrating…
